Iranian CG Congratulates PUK

The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kurdistan Region offered his and all the diplomats of the Iranian Consulate's congratulations to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on the occasion of the party's 49th establishment anniversary, including all diplomats and staff.

A delegation from the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Iranian CG Nasrollah Rashnoudi, visited the headquarters of the PUK's Political Bureau in Erbil. They were greeted by PUK Spokesperson Saadi Ahmed Pire, Dr. Rebwar Ismail, and some advisors of the Political Bureau.

The Iranian CG in the Kurdistan Region wished success and continued progress to the PUK, which is now a major and influential party in the political, economic and security spheres in the region.

PUK Spokesperson Saadi Ahmed Pire extended gratitude to the visiting delegation for their involvement and reiterated the PUK's condolences for the death of former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his associates. He also stressed the importance of enhancing the longstanding and friendly ties between the PUK and the Islamic Republic of Iran as the Islamic Republic of Iran has offered refuge and aid to the Kurdish people during times of crisis and upheaval, providing them with medical and relief assistance.
