PUK President & Romanian Ambassador
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received at Debashan, Sulaymaniyah, Radu Octavian Dobre, Romanian Ambassador to Iraq.
During the meeting, they addressed boosting bilateral relations and expanding coordination in a variety of spheres to help the Kurdistan Region prosper.
Speaking on the measures being taken to boost the Kurdistan Region's economy and create the right environment for foreign investment, President Bafel Jalal Talabani stated: “We welcome investors and offer them with all necessary conditions to run their financial resources in the Kurdistan Region and contribute to its growth.We hope that Romania will take additional steps to achieve this, including more effective participation in a variety of fields.”
The relations between Erbil and Baghdad as well as the solution to the internal issues facing the Kurdistan Region were also discussed.In order to preserve regional security, advance towards reconstruction, and avoid escalating tensions, both parties emphasised the significance of coordinating national efforts.
