Both parties reached a consensus on the necessity of restructuring the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad in a manner that is appropriate for the present circumstances and benefits all Iraqi citizens.

Additionally, he highlighted the need to address and resolve the current and future challenges and crises faced by Iraq and Kurdistan.
The Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal stated: "Despite the temporary void in Baghdad following President Mam Jalal's illness and death, the PUK, under the leadership of President Bafel Talabani, has successfully restructured itself. Furthermore, the PUK maintains strong relationships with all Iraqi parties, and its position remains as robust as it was previously."
Dr. Khalid Asadi commended the historical relationship between the Kurds and Shiites and lauded President Mam Jalal for his efforts in establishing and fortifying this relationship. He regarded President Mam Jalal as a prominent figure and a national leader who safeguarded the interests of everybody.
