PUK President: We Stand in Solidarity With Iranian Leadership

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has expressed his condolences on the death of Ebrahim Raisi and his companions. He acknowledges the difficulties encountered during this time and extends his condolences to Iran's leaders and citizens. 

The following is President Bafel's message:

With deep sorrow and anguish, I offer my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to His Excellency Mr. Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic, on the passing of Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mr. Hussein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with their companions.

Amidst this challenging period, we extend our condolences to the senior leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We stand in solidarity with them throughout this immense tragedy, and we have confidence in their ability to overcome this calamity.

We ask God almighty to bestow His abundant mercy on the deceased and grant them a place in His vast gardens. May He also grant patience and comfort to all those affected.

PUK Politburo Offers Condolences to Islamic Republic of Iran

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) extends its condolences to the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the families of the victims of the helicopter crash that resulted in the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Imam of Friday Prayer in Tabriz Ayatollah al-Hashem, Tabriz Governor Malik Rahmati, the chief of the guards, the president's bodyguard, the pilot of the helicopter, and two assistants. 

Below is the official message of condolences from the PUK Politburo:

The PUK expresses its condolences to the Supreme Leadership and Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the families of the deceased, and the Iranian people for the unfortunate helicopter crash involving President Ebrahim Raisi and his delegation.

Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him, we will return.

President Rashid: Iraq stands with the Iranian people 

Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, the President of Iraq, has sent his condolences to the Iranian leadership and citizens. He emphasises that Iraq shares solidarity with the Iranian people in this challenging time. 

The following is Iraqi President's message:

We extend our sincere condolences on the tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his staff in a helicopter crash caused by unfavourable weather circumstances.

During this time of sorrow, we extend our condolences to Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, as well as the Iranian leadership and people. We want to emphasise that Iraq stands in solidarity with the Iranian people during this difficult period.

My heart is heavy as I pray to God that the souls of all the deceased may rest in peace forever.

DPM Talabani: Iran will overcome this challenging period

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani expressed his condolences to the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the government, and the people of Iran. He acknowledged that Iran is a resilient country and will successfully navigate through this difficult situation.

The deaths of Mr. Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Hossein Amir  Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister, and their companions in the helicopter crash are a significant tragedy for the Iranian people and government, and we express our sorrow. 

Iran is a strong country and will overcome this challenging experience. During this tragic event, we extend our condolences to His Excellency Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, as well as to the Government and the citizens of Iran. 

We ask God to bestow upon them peace and strength to get through these difficult days and progress toward a better future.
