PUK President & Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met with Kimberly Harrington, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, in Washington, DC.
In the meeting, which was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Head of the Relations Bureau, both sides emphasized the development of relations within the framework of serving common interests and the development of economic and energy infrastructure.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani pointed to the PUK's efforts to formulate a modern national policy for the energy sector so that it becomes a source of growth and prosperity rather than a cause for conflict. He stated that PUK is dealing with this issue responsibly and our goal is to ensure that these resources are used to serve the people and help develop the country, and to achieve this, we will discuss with our friends in Baghdad and try to work together with a new perspective and direct the country towards stability and prosperity.
