President Bafel: PUK is Ready to Undertake Any Initiative to Serve Kurdistan

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), congratulates the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraqis on the occasion of the arrival of the New Year.

President Bafel's message for the New Year said:

On the occasion of the arrival of the New Year, I warmly congratulate the Iraqi citizens and the beloved people of Kurdistan and wish them happiness and prosperity.

I hope that the upcoming year will be characterized by unity, solidarity, progress, and the provision of decent services to our beloved people. Let us collectively engage in a patriotic and responsible manner to address the challenges and actively contribute to fortifying the structure of the Kurdistan Region. This includes resolving the ongoing disputes between Erbil and Baghdad, as well as finding a solution to the matter of teachers' and salaries.

The PUK is ready to undertake any initiative to serve Kurdistan and its cherished people. We perceive a sense of responsibility for our country and people and regard it as our obligation to provide them with service. Our objective is to attain our legal and constitutional rights and pursue a future that is both stable and prosperous.
