PUK President: Our Obligation is to Serve You

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), expressed his congratulations on the outcome of the Iraqi provincial council elections, commending the electorate for their admirable display of nationalistic fervor on election day. He stated: "Reiterating the Kurdistani identity of the disputed areas and electing the PUK as your genuine representation is a significant historical lesson that will remain ingrained in our memory."

President Bafel's message said:

Dear Kurds in Kirkuk, Khanaqin, Mandali, Makhmur, Nineveh Plain, Sinjar and Tuzkhurmatu, I commend you for your triumph in the polls and I am proud of the patriotic spirit you displayed during the provincial council elections.

Reiterating the Kurdistani identity of the disputed areas and electing the PUK as your genuine representation is a significant historical lesson that will remain ingrained in our memory. Our obligation is to serve you and be loyal to your sincerity and steadfastness. We will uphold and build upon President Mam Jalal's efforts in Kirkuk in terms of serving, fostering unity, and enhancing peaceful coexistence. We are committed to following his exemplary path.

We express our gratitude to the voters, citizens, and various cultures and communities who chose the Kirkuk is Our Strength & Will Coalition. I pledge that we will meet your expectations. We also acknowledge and value the efforts of our cadres during the electoral campaign and voting process.

Our next step is to enhance peace and prosperity in the region. We will prioritize the values represented by President Mam Jalal and ensure that diverse opinions are respected. We will collaborate with our Arab, Shiite, Sunni, as well as our Turkmen brothers and other local nationalities and communities, to create a more promising future. Our goal is to provide better services and improve the quality of life for our beloved people, and we are committed to fulfilling this promise without hesitation.
