President Bafel: We Prioritize National Matters Over Party Interests

The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, welcomed Klaus Dieter Streicher, the German Consul General in the Kurdistan Region. 

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding collaboration and coordination to serve mutual interests. 

The meeting also discussed the political environment in the surrounding area, with a focus on Kirkuk. "Our primary focus is on national matters, which we prioritize over party objectives," President Bafel stated. Our goal is to unify the Kurdish voice, foster unity, and encourage collaboration." 

President Bafel stressed the importance of holding elections in the Kurdistan Region on time and fairly, saying, "Our ongoing efforts to address the challenges and overcome the barriers to this democratic procedure continue."
