At the United Nations headquarters in New York, Dr. Barham Salih met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. 

During their meeting, they discussed recent developments in the surrounding area, as well as the state of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. 

Both parties emphasized the importance of improving global coordination in the face of current issues such as terrorism, violence, climate change, and environmental protection, which have emerged as grave threats to humanity. 

They also stressed the importance of reducing tensions and providing security and stability in the region and around the world.
