President Bafel to PUK Leadership: Serve Kurdistan

The inaugural meeting of the newly formed Leadership Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) took place on Saturday, October 8, 2023.

During the commencement of the meeting, which took place in the hall of the Leadership Council in Sulaymaniyah, PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani extended his congratulations to the newly appointed leadership members. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in accomplishing critical objectives and serving Kurdistan.

President Bafel expressed appreciation for the contributions made by Comrades Omar Sheikhmous, a member of the founding board of the PUK, and Diler Said Majid in the successful execution of the congress and said: "We hold your role and position in high regard and express our sincere appreciation, as we take pride in your accomplishments." 

On behalf of the Leadership Council, President Bafel expressed gratitude to the members of the Congress Management Commission for effectively executing their responsibilities. In response, the Commission presented President Bafel with the approved reports and documents pertaining to the Congress.

Furthermore, the discourse revolved around the party and organizational responsibilities, with particular emphasis placed on the leadership's unwavering dedication to prioritizing the well-being and livelihoods of the people, as well as the salaries of the Kurdistan Region's employees, within their professional endeavors.

They also decided to continue the meeting tomorrow, October 9, 2023.
