Congratulatory Messages to PUK on 5th Congress's Success

Numerous Kurdish and Iraqi political parties and leaders have congratulated the president and all PUK cadres and supporters on the occasion of the PUK's victory in its fifth congress, the re-election of Bafel Jalal Talabani as president, and the election of a new Leadership Council.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani and the new Leadership Council were congratulated by the parties of the Gorran Movement, Kurdistan Islamic Union, Kurdistan Justice Group, Kurdistan Social Democratic Party, Kurdistan Islamic Movement, Democratic Union Party (PYD), National Reform Movement, Kurdistan National Party, Progressive Kurdistan Democratic Party, Movement of Democratic Party Kurdistan (MDPK), Turkmen National Will Party, and Kurdistan Conservative Party.
They all wished the PUK success and emphasised the need for Kurdish party cohesion and consensus to protect Kurdistan's vital interests and ensure its residents receive the best possible services. Furthermore, they emphasised President Mam Jalal's wise leadership style and expressed hope that the PUK would follow in his footsteps in advancing the Kurdish cause.
The PUK Leadership Council also received a letter of congratulations from the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) Political Bureau on Bafel Jalal Talabani's re-election as PUK President.
"We congratulate you on the conclusion of your party's Fifth Congress and on your election as president and members of the executive branch. We hope that the outcomes and decisions made by your congress will mark a turning point in fostering ties and protecting the highest national and international interests," the KDP stated.
President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, extended his congratulations to both President Bafel Jalal Talabani and the new Leadership. He expressed his hope that this would be a significant step toward the Kurds' reunification, that all political forces and parties would collaborate to strengthen their unity, and that everyone would play a role in defending the region's constitutional rights.
Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Masrour Barzani also congratulated the PUK President and Leadership Council on the success of their fifth congress.
"I hope you will begin a new phase in the service of the people and the nation, stepping up your efforts for solidarity and unity, the advancement of accomplishments, and the defence of the nation and the highest interests of the Kurdish people." Furthermore, I hope you will improve coordination and support for the implementation of government plans and programmes," he said.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani congratulated President Bafel and the Leadership Council on the sixth anniversary of President Mam Jalal's death.
"We hope that the PUK will continue its national efforts in the same spirit and path that President Mam Jalal established," he said.
For his part, Nuri Al-Maliki, the Secretary General of the Islamic Daawa Party, Congratulated President Bafel and said: "I wish to express my congratulations on your election as PUK President and the success of the PUK Fifth Congress. I wish you success in carrying out your duties and following in the footsteps of the late Mam Jalal in the Kurdistan and Iraqi arenas in a way that strengthens our joint national work."
Ammar al-Hakim, the Leader of the National Wisdom Movement congratulated President Bafel and the cadres of PUK on the success of the fifth congress. He stated: "We are confident that this national entity will adhere to the mediation program established by late President Mam Jalal Talabani, and collaborate with political parties in a manner that upholds the Iraqi democratic experience. We also hope that this occasion will serve as a favorable opportunity to address the unresolved matters between the central government and the Kurdistan Region to serve the Iraqi people across all communities."
The Communist Party of China also congratulated the PUK on the occasion of successfully holding the party's 5th congress.

The Foreign Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China extends its sincere congratulations to your esteemed party on the occasion of the PUK's 5th Congress. We express our good wishes for the continued growth and advancement of your party, with the hope that it will contribute significantly to the overall peace, stability, and prosperity of Iraq, particularly in the Kurdistan Region.
The Communist Party of China places significance on cultivating amicable relations with the PUK and expresses a strong interest in enhancing the exchange of governance and administration expertise with your party. Additionally, the Chinese Communist Party aims to foster practical collaboration across diverse domains between the two parties, with the ultimate objective of advancing the strategic partnership between China and Iraq. This endeavor is intended to yield mutual benefits for both nations and their peoples.
