PUK Congress Continues on Its 5th Day

The fifth day of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)'s 5th Congress continues, and PUK Leadership Council members are expected to be elected today, October 1, 2023.
During the last four days of the PUK congress, some of the party's by-laws have been approved, and Talar Latif, the Spokeswoman for the 5th Congress, says that the rest are likely to be passed today.
Latif told PUKMEDIA that the PUK 5th Congress will continue today and that the remaining articles of the by-law will be passed. Once all of the by-law articles have been approved, the leadership members will be chosen.
The PUK 5th Congress commenced on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Sulaymaniyah. Originally planned to conclude within a three-day timeframe, the congress was subsequently extended to a duration of five days due to unfinished proceedings.
