According to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, there is a firm commitment from Iraq's side to adhere to the budget law and handle the allocation of the Kurdistan Region's share in accordance with the provisions outlined in the budget law.
In reference to the chaos ensuing from the establishment of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) headquarters in Kirkuk, the Iraqi PM expressed that appropriate legal measures will be taken against those responsible for the harm and loss of life inflicted upon the local populace.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani told Kurdsat News that there exists a numerical discourse pertaining to the budget, and emphasized the Iraqi government's determination to adhere to the budget law.
He stated that the allocation of the region's portion will be addressed in accordance with the budget legislation. Furthermore, He expressed his anticipation for the outcomes of the invitation extended to the Finance Ministers of both the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, with the aim of resolving the prevailing concerns.
According to PM Sudani, it is imperative to ensure that the situation in Kirkuk remains devoid of any form of violence. Furthermore, he stated that individuals responsible for the loss of life and harm inflicted upon the inhabitants of Kirkuk must be held accountable through legal means.
