PUK President meets Acting French Consul General

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Rodolphe Richard, Acting Consul General of France in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting focused on advancing negotiations and resolving issues as it covered the development of relations and the current political situation in the Kurdistan Region.

At the meeting, President Bafel explained the PUK's stance on the recent political changes in the Region, saying, "Internal disputes are detrimental to the Region and our citizens," and adding, "I sincerely hope that everyone will handle the situation responsibly and work together to find solutions." 

All of our efforts are focused on promoting unity and solidarity that is good for the Region as a whole and for the lives and welfare of our people, and we believe that genuine partnership and cooperation are the key components in accomplishing the highest interests," he said.
