PUK President receives a senior KDP delegation in Baghdad

At President Mam Jalal's residence in Baghdad, Bafel Jalal Talabani, the president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received a senior delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) under the leadership of Fazil Mirani.

The importance of maintaining Kurdish unity and taking all necessary steps to advance higher goals was a central theme of the meeting, as was the need to continue the dialogue and mutual understanding between all parties. It covered the bigger picture in the Kurdistan Region as well as the problems between Erbil and Baghdad. 

Both parties agreed that protecting Kurdish Region rights under the Constitution and the budget law is crucial. 
The current state of regional security was also discussed, along with possible remedies to the problem. The importance of preserving political, security, and social order prompted the adoption of these measures. 

While reiterating the PUK's commitment to solving the issues, President Bafel Jalal Talabani said: "Continuing constructive dialogue and cooperating to accomplish lofty objectives is the right course of politics, and I hope together we will fight for our land and people rather than consolidating each other's will and eliminating one another."
