President Bafel to Armenian Consul General: We Value Cooperation and Teamwork

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Jalal Talabani hosted Arshak Manoukian, the Armenian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The two sides discussed how to strengthen their ties and work together more closely to advance their mutual interests.

The current state of affairs in the Kurdistan Region as well as the administration of elections were also topics of discussion. President Bafel Jalal Talabani highlighted the PUK's efforts in this regard to resolve the disputes and maintain Kurdish unity. He said, "We value cooperation and teamwork, and we refuse to take any decisions that are not in accordance with national consensus." This statement was made in reference to the PUK's efforts to resolve the disputes and maintain Kurdish unity.

"We are working with the political parties to remove obstacles and foster a climate conducive to free and fair elections," he added.
