Iraqi President congratulates Turkish President

On Monday, May 29, 2023, Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Türkiye on winning another term in office.

President Rashid's message of congratulations said:

On behalf of the people of Iraq and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency, on the occasion of being re-elected as the President of Türkiye.

I wish you all the best and every success in discharging the tasks entrusted to you, wishing the neighboring and friendly people of Türkiye further progress and prosperity.

I would also like to take this opportunity to affirm Iraq's consistent eagerness to further develop friendship and cooperation relations to serve both nations' interests, thus contributing to boosting regional and international peace, security, and stability.
