PUK, KDP publish a joint statement

PUK and KDP meeting.

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, the Political Bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) convened in Pirmam, Erbil. Following the meeting, a joint statement was released.

The joint statement of the PUK and the KDP said:

The Political Bureaus of the KDP and the PUK met in Pirmam today, May 21, 2023. The two sides discussed holding Kurdistan's parliamentary elections on time, issues concerning the situation in Kurdistan, and bilateral ties. The two sides shared a high level of understanding on many topics.

Other topics will be considered and decided upon at future meetings.
