The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) congratulates the president and secretariat of the Kurdistan Teachers Union (KTU) on the anniversary of its establishment.
 
The Political Bureau's congratulatory message said:
 
We congratulate the president, secretariat, and all Kurdistan teachers on the union's founding anniversary.
 
The Kurdistan Teachers Union has been at the vanguard of our people's national and liberation movements throughout all stages of scientific, educational, and professional struggle.
 
During the Peshmerga struggle in the mountains and the freed territories of its authority, the PUK offered a perfect chance for the work of professional organizations alongside the Peshmerga's duty. The PUK now better supports and further supports the objectives and demands of the Kurdistan Teachers Union to protect the rights of all teachers and advance science and education in Kurdistan.
 
On this occasion, we support all of the teachers' justifiable demands, particularly those regarding promotions, paying back arrears, raising pensions, and giving them housing and a dignified existence, all of which we believe are important for the advancement of science and education.
 
We pay tribute to the educators who served during various battlefronts and consistently kept the torch of knowledge and science ablaze on this momentous day.
