PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), congratulated workers on International Workers' Day by stating that the PUK has always prioritized workers' rights and fair demands and worked to guarantee a dignified life and employment opportunities.
President Bafel said in a message:
Happy International Workers' Day to all laborers and builders of Kurdistan, and I salute your dedication.
Workers and laborers are the fundamental pillars of society and the driving force behind our people's revolutions. The PUK arose from this tenacious revolutionary class. As a result, we see ourselves as a part of this powerful force and respect their historical sacrifices.
The PUK has continuously highlighted laborers’ rights and legitimate demands, working to provide them with decent lifestyles and job prospects. This is our obligation and a demonstration of our commitment to the size and influence of this resistance force.
Again, congratulations on this day. Kurdistan is indebted to you for your efforts.
