U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen said that the Sulaymaniyah Airport attack threatened the lives of U.S. military personnel.
Senator Van Hollen retweeted a report on the attack on Sulaymaniyah International Airport and wrote:
"This attack threatened the lives of U.S. military personnel, Syrian Democratic Forces, and General Mazloum Abdi, a critical U.S. ally in the fight against the Islamic State. This is unacceptable.
There must be a full investigation and those responsible must be held accountable."
