Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid condemns the attack on Sulaymaniyah International Airport and calls on Turkey to take responsibility, apologize officially for these actions, and stop these attacks.
The Iraqi President stated:
Turkish military operations in the Kurdistan Region continue, with the latest being the bombing of Sulaymaniyah International Airport.
While we condemn this unjust act against Iraq and its sovereignty, we reiterate that there is no legal justification for Turkish forces to continue terrorizing civilians in Iraqi territory under the guise of the existence of forces against them on Iraqi territory. In this regard, we demand that the Turkish government bear responsibility, issue official apologies for these actions, stop the attacks, and handle its internal issues by establishing a line of communication with the parties involved. If these attacks continue, we will take firm action to prevent them from happening in the future.
