Five Kurdish parties met in Erbil to discuss the amendments to the electoral law of the Kurdistan Parliament, and the deputy head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) faction in the Kurdistan Parliament said: "The amendments to the draft electoral law should be completed and submitted to parliament as soon as possible."
 
"The technical committee to write the text of the amendments to the Kurdistan Parliament's Electoral Law met with the PUK, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the Kurdistan Justice Group (KJG), the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), and the Gorran Movement," said Luqman Wardi, deputy head of the PUK Faction in the Kurdistan Parliament, during a press conference.

"All the articles of the electoral law's amendment were reviewed at the meeting, and there was a consensus so that we can reach a thorough agreement on the electoral law revision," Wardi continued. "All parties emphasized the need for the draft electoral law to be finished and submitted to the Kurdistan Parliament as soon as feasible."

The deputy head of the PUK faction stated: " A thorough accord is sought by all parties. We agree on a lot of things, but not on many. The meetings will continue for a few more days."
