President Bafel: The PUK will continue on its national path

President Bafel and the Russian Consul

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Maxim Rubin, the new Consul General of Russia in the Kurdistan Region.

President Bafel congratulated the new Russian Consul and wished him success in his work. He also expressed the readiness of the PUK for all forms of cooperation and coordination for the success of their work.

The political situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq and the latest developments were discussed.

On the topic of the situation in the Kurdistan Region and the efforts of the PUK for a peaceful and stable life, President Bafel said: "The PUK will continue on its national path and strategy to ensure a decent life, provide more services to citizens, and protect the public’s highest interests."
