President Bafel and Russian Ambassador Kutrashev

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Elbrus Kutrashev, Russian Ambassador to Iraq, in Baghdad.

The discussion focused on the necessity of addressing the issues between Erbil and Baghdad in a way that protects the rights of all parties and uses the Constitution as the basis for doing so, while also discussing the most recent political developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Another topic covered during the discussion was preserving regional stability and coordinating efforts for the success of the new government. Both parties agreed that every effort should be made to guarantee citizens have access to services and a good standard of living.
