Seven wanted terrorists have been arrested by the Sulaymaniyah Asayish Directorate.
West of Sulaymaniyah Asayish (Security) Directorate arrested Seven fugitives wanted for terrorism-related offenses under Article 4.
The Asayish Directorate stated: "after persistent follow-up and investigation of our forces to improve security and stability in the Kurdistan Region, our forces conducted several operations on the night of January 23 and 24 in coordination with the Sulaymaniyah Asayish Operations Room."
According to the statement of the Asayish Directorate, the operations led to the capture of seven individuals who reside in Iraq's central and southern governorates and are wanted by the federal government for violating Article 4 of the terrorism provisions.
The statement continued: "These terrorists crossed the borders of Chamchamal and Bazian districts under the pretense of working to conceal themselves. After initial investigations with them, it was discovered that three of these detainees were "Emir" (princes) of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, and they were turned over to the legal authorities so they could take the necessary action against them."
