President Rashid receives the Iranian ambassador

Iraqi President with the Iranian ambassador at Salam Palace.

Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, the President of the Republic of Iraq, met with Mr. Mohammad Kathim al-Sadiq, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq at Salam Palace.

They discussed the historical ties between Iraq and Iran and stressed the importance of furthering those ties and expanding positive bilateral collaboration in order to achieve the goals of the two neighboring countries for development and prosperity.

The Iranian ambassador expressed Iran's desire to continue cooperating with Iraq as well as its desire to advance bilateral ties on all aspects and in a manner that advances the two nations' shared interests above all else.
