Kurdish artist Zardasht Osman takes part in Iran-Canada art exhibition

The Kurdish photographer Zardasht Osman has been invited to take part in a joint art exhibition of Iranian-Canadian artists which was held by the Artavita Gallery.

Zardasht Osman, the only Kurdish representation in the exhibition who has been invited as a guest. He is a photographer of war and peace who has worked across all four parts of Kurdistan(Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian, and Turkish).

His shots show the suffering and misery of the aftermath of war.

Osman's works mostly revolve around the Kurdish community and the catastrophe they witness in their homeland.

His photographs demonstrate the devastation of displaced Kurds on the Iraqi-Syrian border who are trying to escape the crisis in their hometown due to the Turkish invasion, the Syrian regime's continuous threats, and many more.

The Iranian-Canadian Joint Exhibition will continue online throughout 2021 and winners will be awarded and receive certificates.

Zardasht Osman holds 22 local and international awards in the field of art, documentary, and photography. He participated in several joint local and international exhibitions in countries (USA, Germany, UK, Sweden, Argentina, Iran, Iraq, UAE, and Algeria).

Artavita is an online gallery where artists can connect, see, and be seen while staying current on events, exhibitions, and opportunities to share their work. It offers a free space for artists to create their portfolios and sell art directly to clients paying no fees to anyone.



Zardasht Osman has uploaded some of his works on the Artavita website and will be donating his work revenues to the displaced Syrians at the Kurdistan Region's camps.
