Iraqi Muay Thai Championship concluded in Sulaymaniyah

The Iraqi Muay Thai Championship has ended in Sulaymaniyah on Saturday with the Baghdadi team winning first place.
The tournament lasted for two days with the participation of the teams of Baghdad, the Middle Euphrates, the North, the South, and the West under the sponsorship of the Iraqi Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar.
In a statement to PUKmedia, Raad Hamoudi, head of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, expressed appreciation to the city of Sulaymaniyah for hosting the tournament.
"We thank the Governor of Sulaymaniyah and the University of Sulaymaniyah for hosting the Iraqi Muay Thai Championship, and we thank the efforts of the Muay Thai Federation for taking care of this game and revitalizing it in the Iraqi provinces," Hamoudi said.
For his part, Jabbar Alak, head of the Muay Thai Federation, confirmed that the activities were held under the direct supervision of the Central Muay Thai Federation.
He also revealed that the winning athletes were selected to represent the Iraqi team in the next tournament, which will also be held in the city of Sulaymaniyah next September, in which several foreign Arab teams will participate.
The tournament was concluded with the Baghdad national team winning first place, and prizes were distributed to the winners, as well as gifts of appreciation for their participation in the tournament and achieving victory.
