Sulaymaniyah presents 'The Swamp' play

The Shar Art Troupe presents its latest theatrical work "the Swamp".

 

The artist, Peshraw Hussein, on Monday stated on his Facebook page that the play of "the Swamp" was written by Maxim Gorky, prepared and directed by  Kamran Raouf and will be represented by twelve actors.

 

The play will be shown on June 24 at the Culture Hall in Sulaymaniyah and will continue until the end of this month.

 

Kamran Raouf explained that "the Swamp" play includes a group of dramatic characters, each of whom represents a segment of society, who gather in a basement, including a woman with tuberculosis. Each of them has some goals, and they are optimistic about getting out of that basement one day and seeing the light again, and at the end of the play, one of the characters commits suicide after losing hope.
