Sulaymaniyah hosts joint exhibition of artists of Kurdistan, Iraq

The city of Sulaymaniyah hosted a joint exhibition between the Association of Iraqi Photographers and the Association of Kurdistan Photographers at the Amna Suraka National Museum's Gallery, with the participation of a group of young photographers, and it will last for 3 days.

 

Yadgar Jalal, the official spokesman for the Mam Humanitarian Foundation (MHF), which organized the exhibition, said that "The Mam Foundation has set up an exhibition of photographs with the participation of photographers from various Iraqi provinces and Kurdistan."

 

"The exhibition aims to offer a message of love and peace to all segments of the Iraqi people by displaying photographs that embody the Iraqi reality from south to north," he said.

 

On the importance of the exhibition, the head of the Iraqi Photographers Union said that “The mixing between photographers in Iraq and the presentation of their photos in one hall expresses the national unity that we need today more than ever."

 

"We thank the organizers for holding such exhibition that is considered the first of its kind to collect artist photographers to lay a beautiful print in a city  that is considered the most important culturally and artistically in Iraq."

 

Photographer Mustafa Turki from Diwaniyah said: "I participated with several photos that talk about making clay materials, as it is one of the industries, handicrafts that the southern regions are famous for."
