Mine Authorities explode 400 kilograms bomb in Penjwen

A 400 kilograms bomb was exploded on Monday by the Sulaymaniyah Mine Action Agency in Penjwen town, 97 km northeast of Sulaymaniyah.
Authorities said that the bomb was an unexploded war remnant and was found by local residents of Penjwen.
The Mine Action Agency personnel transported the bomb to a remote area away from residential regions and safely exploded the bomb.
Residents of Penjwen were previously informed by authorities that the bomb will be exploded near Penjwen calling on them to not panic if they heard the sound of the explosion.
