Kurdish man in Kirkuk makes traditional tandoor for baking, cooking

Clay ovens, tandoor, made in Kirkuk are popular throughout the Kurdistan Region and Iraq because of the distinct clay and the skilled workers.
Tariq Qadir, resident of Kirkuk Province, have been making Tandoor for 25 years and is still continuing.
The Kirkuk oven has its own characteristics and is one of the best types of ovens in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Tariq is from the Piryadi neighbourhood in Kirkuk, famed for its manufacturing of handmade bread tandoors.
Tariq loves his job and says that he has passion for making tandoor ever since he was a child. he also says that he has been able to provide livelihood and needs for his family with this job.
