The activities of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Forum kicked off in the Raniya town of the Raparin region on Saturday. Raniya is also where the Kurdish uprising began in 1991.
The forum is a party and patriotic call to discuss the current reality of the PUK and its identity to discuss the party's current and future crucial topics alongside our society's needs, challenges, and changes as well as the political experience of our nation as the developments. Changes in modern society and the contemporary era across the world including Kurdistan require this new strive and effort. In addition to that, it is always important for the PUK to be the trailblazer and initiator of such changes.
The PUK held preparatory meetings and conferences for the forum in Badinan, Kirkuk, Erbil, and the Garmian region.
These first meetings of the forum are only a preparation for the main one scheduled to take place in early May.
