Iftar at Slemani Great Mosque

The Great Mosque, located in the center of Sulaymaniyah, continues to hold banquets throughout the year, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, over a thousand people from citizens and tourists visit the mosque.
More than 1,000 people are fed in the mosque daily.
The Great Mosque of Sulaymaniyah was built in 1785 by Ibrahim Pasha Baban. It contains 3 small cemeteries and the shrine of Haji Kaka Ahmed and his grandson, King Mahmood. Situated at the heart of the city, hundreds of people visit the mosque for prayer and to visit the shrines.
