Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, extended congratulations to Kurdish MMA fighter Namo Fazil on his epic win against his American opponent Jake Babian during the MVP MMA 1 event, stating: "You are becoming a legendary hero of our time. Great heroes might lose a contest, but they never sacrifice their principles, and they remain guardians of their people's noble values."

"He himself states that he gained his courage from the valor and struggles of the Peshmerga. Truly, our heroes inspire each other with strength and resolve," Talabani said in a statement.

"My sole request for Namo is this: you have transcended being an ordinary champion you represent the will, power, and integrity of your people on the international stages," he added.
