Chinese Consulate Delegation Visits Mausoleum of President Mam Jalal

Chine consulate delegation along with PUK officials.
A delegation from the Chinese Consulate in the Kurdistan Region visited the mausoleum of President Mam Jalal on Saturday, 2 May 2026, where they were received by representatives of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, alongside Dr Mohammed Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF), and Yousif Zozani.
Zhang Jianxin, Chinese Deputy Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, laid a wreath at the grave of President Mam Jalal and wrote in the memorial notebook, where he highlighted the longstanding and strong ties between the Kurdish people and China.
He paid tribute to President Talabani, describing him as a distinguished Kurdish leader who laid important foundations for these relations, and noted that he is remembered in China as a long-standing friend of the Chinese people.
