The border crossing between the city of Nusaybin in northern Kurdistan, Türkiye, and Qamishli in western Kurdistan, Syria, is scheduled to reopen next week, according to media reports.

Media sources said the move comes as part of the implementation of the 29 January agreement between the Syrian Interim Government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The Nusaybin Border Crossing, which links areas of western and northern Kurdistan, is expected to resume operations opposite the city of Qamishli.

The crossing has been closed several times in recent years, most notably in 2016, when Turkish authorities fully suspended civilian and commercial traffic due to the security and political situation in the region.
