PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), delivered a video message for the Newroz celebrations in Amed, North Kurdistan [Kurdistan of Türkiye], stating: "At this sensitive time, what matters most is our unity — the unity of all Kurds and of all four parts of Kurdistan. I extend my special greetings and respect to all parties engaged in the peace process initiated by Comrade Abdullah Ocalan."
President Bafel's message said:
Hello Kurds and Kurdistan...
Hello dear comrades...
Greetings to the children gathered there...
Greetings to Comrade Abdullah Ocalan...
Greetings, Mr President...
Happy Newroz to you all...
May you always be surrounded by celebration and joy. At this sensitive time, what matters most is our unity — the unity of all Kurds and of all four parts of Kurdistan. I extend my special greetings and respect to all parties engaged in the peace process initiated by Comrade Abdullah Ocalan.
I hope to be able to visit you in person soon, Comrade Apo, and that we will continue your programme together. I also hope to see you free in the near future.
You all know that the PUK has always been yours, and I reaffirm my commitment that it will continue to be yours and will always fight for you.
As you know, I am a man of my word. I promise you that next year you will not see me addressing you by video; instead, I will be present among you. Long live, and Eid Mubarak.
