Senior Kurdish officials from north-east Syria are taking part in the Munich Security Conference, one of the world’s leading forums on global security and foreign policy.
Among the participants are General Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of Foreign Relations for the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
Their attendance highlights ongoing efforts by the Kurdish administration in Rojava to engage with international stakeholders on regional security, counter-terrorism, and the future political settlement in Syria.
The conference brings together senior officials, diplomats and security experts from around the world to discuss pressing global and regional challenges.
