Deputy PM Recalls President Mam Jalal’s Historic Pleading

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, recalled the historic pleading delivered by President Mam Jalal on 9 February 2004, before the Iraqi Governing Council, in which he presented historical documents and maps to affirm the Kurdish identity of Kirkuk and other Kurdish regions.


He said: “As long as a single Kurd remains, that historic day—when President Mam Jalal spoke the truth to the world, affirming that Kirkuk is an inseparable part of Kurdistan—will never be forgotten.”


“We will remain faithful to that path and continue it with determination, now and forever,” he added.
