Qubad Talabani Highlights Role of Saudi Investment in Iraq and Kurdistan Region

On Tuesday, 27 January 2026, Qubad Talabani met with Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, in Baghdad.

The meeting, which was also attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the political, security and economic fields.

During the discussions, Talabani noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could play an important role in supporting economic development in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He stressed that the Region welcomes Saudi investment and is prepared to offer all necessary facilities to investors.
