PUK President: PUK Emphasises Necessity of Forming Service-Oriented Government

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Qais al-Khazali, Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Qais al-Khazali, Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, in Baghdad.

The meeting was attended by Rifat Abdullah, Vice President of the PUK; Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau; and Khalid Shwani, Iraq’s Minister of Justice. Discussions focused on the latest regional and domestic political developments.

The formation of the new Iraqi government was also on the agenda. President Bafel stressed the importance of establishing a service-oriented government that responds to the aspirations of all citizens.

“The PUK emphasises the necessity of forming a service-oriented government that meets the aspirations of all,” President Bafel said.
