PUK President Congratulates Christians

In a message, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has wished the Christians in Kurdistan, Iraq and around the world a merry Christmas, reaffirming that the PUK considers it its duty to remain a steadfast protector and advocate of the rights of Christians.

The PUK President's message read:

“Merry Christmas to all Christian brothers and sisters in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world.
I hope this holiday brings joy, peace, and stability to the region.  

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan considers it its duty to be a steadfast protector and advocate for Christians, ensuring that in all of our country’s institutions their rights are safeguarded and that they can exercise their true and rightful representation.”
