UN’s Al-Hassan Praises PUK’s Role in Political Process's Success

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani and Mohamed Al-Hassan, the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Iraq.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mohamed Al-Hassan, the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Iraq, in Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.

The meeting took place on the occasion of the conclusion of Al-Hassan’s mission in Iraq. During the visit, Al-Hassan expressed his appreciation to President Bafel and the PUK for their constructive role in the success of the political process.

President Bafel, in turn, commended Al-Hassan for his significant efforts in bringing political parties closer together, and wished him continued success in his future responsibilities.
