PJTF formalised a partnership with the German National Library of Science and Technology.
On 15 December 2025, the President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF) formalised a partnership with the German National Library of Science and Technology at the Leibniz University of Hannover through a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Rezhan Hassan, Director of the Archives of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, signed the agreement, which seeks to strengthen collaboration in archiving practices, scientific research methods, and the provision of resources for scholars.
The MoU outlines cooperation across three main areas:
1. Training and Education
The agreement will facilitate specialised courses, work placements, and training programmes for institutional staff at Leibniz University of Hannover. Focus areas include archive and library management, digitisation techniques, archival engineering, and the organisation and classification of records.
2. Exchange of Archives
Both parties will enable the exchange of archives covering political, cultural, and scientific content, while fully safeguarding the property rights of each institution.
3. Support for Researchers
The collaboration aims to assist academics and researchers in universities and research centres, providing access to relevant resources within the framework of applicable laws.
