Iraqi Presidency Denounces Attack on Kor Mor Gas Field

The Presidency of the Republic of Iraq has issued a statement condemning the attack on the Khor Mor gas field in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, describing it as a desperate attempt to undermine the country’s security and stability and to provoke chaos.

The statement read:

“The Presidency of the Republic of Iraq firmly condemns the heinous attack on the Khor Mor natural gas field in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which caused damage to the energy supply in the Kurdistan Region and in other parts of the country.

“This vile act represents a desperate bid to undermine the security and stability that Iraq has achieved, harm the national economy and stir up disorder.”

“We stress the need for a thorough and serious investigation into this attack to uncover its circumstances. We also call on all political forces to unite and work collectively in the national interest and to foil any attempt to incite violence or chaos.”
