Iraqi parliament Elections IHEC Iraq

Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Sunday the completion of the counting process for all remaining polling stations from the parliamentary elections held on 11 November 2025.

Jumana al-Ghalai, the IHEC spokesperson, told PUKMEDIA: “The Commission has finalised the counting of the remaining polling stations, and all results are fully consistent with the manual count and verification — a 100% match.”

She added: “The Commission has begun the process of seat allocation, including those reserved for women and minorities. Provincial electoral offices have already started distributing result sheets to alliances, parties, and candidates. The final results are expected to be announced later today or tomorrow.”

Al-Ghalai explained that once the final results are issued by a decision of the Board of Commissioners, the Commission will open a three-day window for appeals, starting the day after the results are published on its official website.
