Iraqi President Receives Credentials of Ambassadors from Finland, EU, and Germany

Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received on Sunday, 5 October 2025, the credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors to Iraq: Antti Potkonen of the Republic of Finland, Clemens Sumtner of the European Union Delegation, and Daniel Kreber of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In separate meetings with the ambassadors, President Rashid reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to fostering balanced relations with all countries, grounded in mutual interests and the expansion of political, economic, and trade cooperation. He extended his best wishes for their success in carrying out their diplomatic missions and expressed confidence that their efforts would further strengthen the bonds of friendship and collaboration between Iraq and their respective nations.
“Iraq is committed to developing balanced and constructive relations based on mutual interests, with a view to advancing cooperation and strengthening the bonds of friendship,” President Rashid said.
The ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed their governments’ intention to enhance relations with Iraq across all areas of shared interest.
