Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), on Friday, 3 October 2025, received Jan Šnaidauf, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, at Dabashan in Sulaymaniyah.

In their meeting, both sides underscored the importance of developing and deepening friendly relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Czech Republic in all field, particularly in economic cooperation and investment fields.

They held a constructive discussion on the recent agreement to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, a matter both sides regarded with great importance, describing it as a vital step towards consolidating the country’s stability and improving the living standards of its citizens.
